Overview
Helped manage the National Accounts Shared weekly sales performance data with the division Created new trackers to help my team Supported and owned additional projects in e-commerce Supported with day to day queries and ad-hoc reports Led the NPD set-up & launch process for my retailer
Skills
Hugely improved my Excel and Powerpoint skills. Developed my skills in Project management & Communication by taking on new cross-functional projects. Presentation skills and confidence improved my presenting to internal stakeholders. Learning agility vastly improved as I was constantly learning new skills and things throughout my placement.
Responsibilities
Given huge responsibility, even from the beginning. This made me feel like a valued member of the team who everyone could trust. As I went further into my placement, I was given more responsibility and the chance to take on my own projects which I could lead and coordinate. I never felt like I had nothing to do which was a good thing.
Support & Guidance
My manager and team were all really supportive. I was able to go to them for any questions and they were more than willing to help.
Culture
The company culture was really friendly. It was very fast paced and competitive but nice
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement and would recommend it to anyone thinking of doing one. It gives you an array of skills to be able to go back to university with and gives you great experience. It gives me more confidence when leaving university and applying to grad roles that I have already done a year in industry vs people that are leaving university without any experience.
Yes
Be yourself, be very positive and try to get involved in anything you can. Try to mix and meet as many people as possible.
