    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Part of the D2C team supporting the wider team on various aspects and leading projects of their own. CRM - email ideation, planning, creation and reporting in line with our promotional calendar and product launches. Supporting with direct e-commerce website merchandising (including product launches, animations, brand moments and user experience amplification), new website features enablement and implementation, SEO optimisation implementation (eg: meta title and meta description), commercial and digital marketing reporting. The role will develop your digital marketing skills as well as your project management and stakeholder management skills.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Email ideation, planning and execution (building emails, proofing, asset creation, link building, format checks, and working very closely with our email agency DEC CRM) • Email reporting (monthly, A/B test reporting on key KPIs) • Email A/B testing for continual email optimisation • Supporting with merchandising for new products, animations and brand moments • Merchandising optimisations for improved user experience (eg: categories, PDPs etc.) • New features enablement and new website capabilities • SEO implementations for core functions (eg: meta title and meta descriptions) • Asset ownership (eg: Opera, Figma, UK localised content) • Reporting both on commercial KPIs (revenue, AOV, IPO, buyers, CVR, product performance etc.) As well as digital marketing KPIs (traffic, consumer acquisition, time on site, bounce rate etc.)

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • offered a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. I appreciated the open communication and supportive team environment, which fostered both professional and personal growth. Regular feedback and opportunities to contribute to diverse projects allowed me to develop practical skills and gain valuable industry experience. While the fast-paced nature presented occasional challenges, it ultimately enhanced my learning and adaptability. Overall, the positive and encouraging culture made my placement a rewarding experience.

  • It was definitely hard work, but a really good experience. I learned a lot and feel much more prepared for my career now because of the challenges.
