    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role varies significantly day to day. You can be running an assessment centre one day, booking interviews the next and reviewing candidate applications. A constant is looking after temporary worker contracts and managing the recruitment inbox. You also get involved in many different areas of recruitment outside of early careers.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Time management, organisation, prioritisation, stake holder management are just a few. This placement really developed me in so many different ways.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • From the very first week I was given responsibility. The team treated me like I was a permanent employee and not a placement student from the very first day. I ran assessment centres as the lead, was trusted with pieces of work that are really important with little room for error and delivered training to employees.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Everyone at the company is super supportive. I met with all undergraduate managers when doing role briefings and they were all very supportive knowing how new I was to the working world. My team was super supportive, they always looked out for me and understood that I was learning so I wasn't going to be perfect from the very first day.
