Overview
General daily tasks involve dealing with all legal post received that day and collating the data or evidence needed to investigate. You will undertake legal research on the most recent regulations and legislation created that may have an affect on the business or commercial activities. Corresponding with internal employees and external solicitors to provide or receive advice and information on various matters.
Skills
Skills in relation to drafting, such as court mandated documents, emails and letters. Communication skills as you will need to reach out and respond to various internal and external persons who may be providing/asking for advice or information. Organisational skills are learnt and developed due to the fast paced and varying nature of the work.
Responsibilities
To a large extent, yes, however due to the professional level of the department, supervision and checks over work is extremely common. This provides large amounts of feedback to help and improve all skills involved.
Support & Guidance
Due to the common supervision on work, a large amount of support is provided and check ups are put in with the line manager and often other members of the department.
Culture
Extremely welcoming and understanding of everyone's levels and abilities. Help and support is always offered by all levels of employees.
