    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In my role I support a variety of training and development initiatives across the business. My responsibilities include coordinating learning projects and training schedules, acting as the point of contact for external training providers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of sessions. I manage the L&D shared inbox, responding to employee and stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner. I am also involved in reporting key training figures including attendance and evaluation data to support strategic decisions.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I developed strong organisational and project coordination skills by managing multiple training initiatives and ensuring their smooth execution. My communication and stakeholder management abilities were improved during my placement as I liaised with external trainers and responded to a high volume of queries in the inbox. I also gained confidence in using excel, and data analysis. I enhanced my attention to detail and time management through the multiple deadlines I had to meet.

  • Yes I was given a good level of responsibility. I was trusted to manage key tasks independently which allowed me to become more confident with my work, improve my decision making skills and contribute meaningfully to the team.

  • I received consistent support and guidance from my team, which played a big role in my personal and professional development. I was provided with clear training, regular 1-2-1s, and constructive feedback that helped me understand my responsibilities. My manager and colleagues were always approachable and willing to answer questions, offer advice, or provide help.
