Overview
Design and develop scheduled and ad hoc reporting on profit and performance. Update and analyse reports and processes used to drive decision making. Support the creation of business cases and growth plans to improve business performance. Attended meetings with subject matter experts from across the business to create/update procedures. Responsible for carrying out the auditing and reconciliation of Tactical investments, exceeding c. 拢100m per annum.
Skills
I have learnt new skills such as the prioritisation of tasks. I have also developed my communication, team working and attention to detail skills.
Responsibilities
I was given significant responsibility during my placement, such as the month end reporting for the business. I was also involved in the forecasting and planning round for the business.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from my line manager and the whole team which made it easier to get involved and support as much as possible.
Culture
The company culture and atmosphere was great, employees around the business were encouraging us to get involved as much as possible.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement at VWFS because of the inclusive culture, constant support from the line manager and team, and the development of skills and understanding of the industry sector.
Yes
When applying to VWFS I would advice others to research the company and understand how the company and the industry operates. Moreover, I would recommend to look at the culture and strategy of VWFS. This will not only help the transition to working at VWFS but will also make it easier to answer and perform during the online interview and assessment centre stage.
