Overview
Day to day placement duties include maintaining a site wide cost smartsheet, ensuring all projects are captured accurately to reduce cost, each project could be a time saving or a new process or machine to help reduce time needed to process a part.
Skills
I have learn lots of skills, such as managing a large portfolio of different plans, lots of problem solving opportunities to help drill down time savings and cost reductions, i have also developed my personal skills when working within a team and leading large projects to meet set deadlines.
Responsibilities
i was given a major amount of responsibility, in charge of a large portfolio of different projects, ensuring cost savings were captures, plotting workscopes correctly into ws tool to ensure that each engine meets its estimated cost in labour targets.
Support & Guidance
i received a large amount of guidance from my people leader who was really supportive throughout my placement, whenever i did not know the answer to a problem my people leader did not hesitate to help me get the answer but also taught me how to get to the answer.
Culture
the company culture is great, lots of welcoming people and warm faces around every corner.

i really enjoyed my placement, so much that i applied for a full time position here and managed to get it.
Yes
Be aware that there is a steep learning curve when joining GE Aerospace as there is lots to learn, but the people here are more than happy to help teach you and get you up to speed to where you need to be
