  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • It involves extracting, analyzing and updating data using Excel and the company specific software. I also attend team meetings where I learn more about the data I analyze.

    • I have improved my proficiency in Excel. I have developed time management and better communication skills. I have also learnt more about the company and its functioning. I have also developed more interest for data science, which is one of the modules I have chosen for my final year in university.

    • I was not given heavy responsibilities, as the scope of work for a math student is limited in this team. However, the tasks I was given aligned with my degree and were also useful to the team.

    • I had ample guidance in understanding many technical aspects of my tasks. I also had meetings where developments and drawbacks were discussed.

    • I enjoyed my placement, as I got a very vivid experience of an office role. It helped me ease my mind and try something new. I could explore my areas of interest. Overall, it was a nice experience.
