Overview
Working from home , I have calls with suppliers , work internally in cross functional departments liaising with marketing, logistic and others to ensure part availability. I work on Microsoft office daily using the purchasing systems on SAP.
Skills
I have developed many skills which I had before as well as squiring many new ones. I have become more proficient in office applications and my skills have majorly improved. Also I have learnt the art of negotiations. I am now able to negotiate independently and make financial decisions which affect the group
Responsibilities
Yes from day one you are given responsibility for tasks and from this you gain a responsibility for a commodity and it is your job to ensure you manage the parts in your commodity. I feel like a fully functional member of the team and have pressures due to these responsibilities
Support & Guidance
I was given full support and guidance from my superior buyer who I was working with on the commodity.
Culture
Staff are friendly and motivated to work together and it feels like you are a part of a larger team with common goals. Everyone is helpful.
